Difficult to Discuss ... More Painful to Tolerate

New performance underwear alleviates friction, chafing for men's most sensitive region

(Durham, Ore.) - Sweat, or "schwet", in Saturday Night Live terms, happens, often around a man's most private regions. Though it is a cringe-worthy subject, sweat and friction -especially during and after a long round of golf - are real problems that can cause discomfort at best and painful, bow-legged chafing at worst.

RUEZ Performance Underwear was created by Chris Varney, an avid sportsman and medical equipment representative who wanted to find a solution to this little-discussed but quietly tolerated condition. Unlike traditional performance garments, his creation features a hole cut through the underwear's front panel, which leads to a covered compression pouch. The resulting design delivers a comfortable way to separate and protect male anatomy from contact with surrounding skin.

Designed with minimal seaming to further reduce chafing, these body hugging (but non-restrictive), wicking boxers and briefs are constructed from 85% polyester and 15% spandex. A roll-resistant waist band ensures additional comfort for long events or activities requiring cross-plane motion. The boxers also feature a small back pocket to secure room keys, ID or credit cards.

"I always ask golfers if they ever have to cope with sweat or adjusting, and 100 percent of the time, the answer is affirmative," Varney explains. "RUEZ does for men what no other underwear or ointments can by eliminating skin-to-skin chafing in a man's most sensitive region."

In recent months, RUEZ has gained a significant following from urologists and other specialists who rely on the underwear's unique pouch hold post-surgical cold packs for extended periods.

RUEZ Performance Underwear (MSRP: $28.00 - 30.00) currently is available through sporting goods retailers and specialty sports shops in the Pacific Northwest. Consumers also may purchase RUEZ gear - available in men's sizes Small through XL - through the company's web site at RUEZUnderwear.com.
