Harbor Club Toasts to 20 Years

(Greensboro, GA) - The weather was perfect for the golfers and dinner party guests who came together on Oct. 13 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Harbor Club (www.harborclub.com), a 1,600-acre community on Georgia's Lake Oconee.

The day began with a welcome breakfast followed by a golf tournament that included Harbor Club neighbors and their guests, including John Matney, CEO and owner of Harbor Club, Kevin Butler, former college football and NFL great, and Montez Carter, CEO for St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital.

The golf tournament was followed by an evening dinner party on the clubhouse croquet lawn that included a southern style barbeque buffet, music by 306 South Main, dancing, a silent auction and recognition of a number of special guests.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of the 20-year members in attendance at the event by speakers John and Brandon Matney. Each of the members recognized received a customized bottle of wine in recognition for their milestone. In addition, all guests to the dinner party received special commemorative glasses marking the 20 year history for the community.

All funds received from the golf tournament and dinner party will be donated to the St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital Fund. St. Mary's hospital Board member, Janice Galloway, was on hand at the evening event to represent St. Mary's and give thanks to Harbor Club for its forthcoming donation.

"It was a very special evening for all of us," said John Matney, owner and CEO of Harbor Club. "We were able to reminisce with our members on all the special moments that have helped shape this community into the special neighborhood it is today. And we also were able to contribute to a cause that will serve a need in this community for many more years to come."

Harbor Club is managed by Atlanta-based Affiniti Golf Partners.
