Salish Cliffs Golf Club Named a Top-10 U.S. Casino Course

Amenity of Little Creek Casino Resort Honored by Golfweek Magazine

(SHELTON, Wash.) -  Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort – located a scenic, convenient drive from Olympia and Seattle – has again been honored by a national publication, this time garnering Top-10 status in Golfweek magazine’s 2012 “Best Casino Courses” list.

Owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe, Salish Cliffs is the lone Washington casino course on the list and its No. 10 ranking was the highest among the four clubs – in any state – that opened in 2011 or later. The Gene Bates design has received numerous accolades since being unveiled in September, 2011, including recently being named to Golfweek’s “Best Resort Courses 2013.”

To produce its “Best Courses” lists, Golfweek sends out a team of more than 730 course raters each year to survey more than 3,000 courses. The criterion includes routing, conditioning, variety and memorability of holes. The “Best Casino Courses” list appears in Golfweek’s Dec. 7 issue.

“We are thankful for this recognition – bestowed by a panel of critical experts – which affirms that Little Creek Casino Resort and Salish Cliffs offer one of the best golf-and-gaming experiences in America,” said Salish Cliffs Head Professional David Kass, PGA. “The resort executives and Squaxin Island Tribe are committed to enhancing our guest’s enjoyment through our upscale amenities and services, and it’s humbling when acclaim like this reinforces we’re successfully accomplishing our mission.”

Little Creek Casino Resort’s latest hospitality additions include the full-service Seven Inlets Spa and Skookum Spirit Cigar and Wine Lounge. Green fees at Salish Cliffs through December are $59 (Monday-Sunday) for MVP Player card holders, Primetime Players (ages 50 and older), military personnel and hotel guests. The regular rate is $64 (Monday-Sunday) for 18 holes including cart, range balls and tax.  The pro shop is also offering holiday savings on men’s and women’s apparel and footwear, while supplies last.

Tee times can be booked with a major credit card up to 30 days in advance at www.salish-cliffs.com. Advanced tee-time booking up to 60 days in advance is available for those with confirmed Little Creek Casino Resort hotel reservations by calling the golf shop at 360.462.3673.
