Troy Merritt Joins Wilson Staff Team

(CHICAGO) – Wilson Staff announced today its full Advisory Staff for 2015. This year’s group is comprised of:
* two-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Streelman
* three-time major winner Padraig Harrington
* up-and-coming star Troy Merritt
* European tour competitor Paul Waring
* 2014 BMW Masters winner Marcel Siem
* PGA Tour winner Brendan Steele
* PGA Tour competitor Ricky Barnes
* European Tour winner Anthony Wall

All players, with the exception of Steele, turned the year with the new Wilson Staff FG Tour V4 irons in the bag. Wilson will formally launch the irons at the PGA Merchandise Show this week in Orlando. Most recently, Troy Merritt debuted them with success at the Sony Open in Hawaii, where he shot 64 in his second round to share the lead heading into the weekend.

“Tour players talk on the range, and I heard from other Wilson Advisory Staff members that the Wilson innovation team delivers outstanding product and service,” said Merritt. “As a younger player, I wanted to select a company that I will grow with, and that will grow with my game.”

Recently-signed Steele joined the brand in order to play the Wilson Staff FG Tour 100 blade irons, which he deems “the best-feeling irons I’ve ever hit in my life.”

All players will put some mix of the new FG Tour V4 utility irons in the bag, depending on course and wind conditions. They will also play a selection of FG Tour TC wedges, a highly acclaimed line that features a new-for-2015 gun blue PVD option. Harrington won the Indonesia Open in December with the new Infinite South Side putter. The FG Tour V4 utilities, FG Tour TC gun blue PVD wedge and the Infinite putter series will launch at the PGA Merchandise Show this week.

Wilson Staff will also launch the new D200 family of distance clubs and the new DUO, which is the World’s Softest Golf Ball on the market, at the PGA Show.
