Nicklaus Golf Balls Now at Speedway Stores, Proceeds Help Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Proceeds from Nicklaus Golf Ball Sales at Speedway Convenience Stores to Help Sick and Injured Kids

(NORTH PALM BEACH, FL) – Nicklaus Companies—the company which introduced premium golf balls designed, tested and perfected under the direct supervision of Jack Nicklaus—is announcing a partnership with Speedway LLC (Speedway) to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the sale of Nicklaus Golf Balls at participating convenience store locations from May through July.

Sleeves of the popular Nicklaus “Blue” model ($6) will be displayed at the checkout of participating Speedway locations. One dollar from each purchase will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This promotion continues the commitment of both organizations to support children’s charities. A number of Nicklaus-branded or licensed products have been introduced in recent years with a philanthropic tie-in, including water, lemonade, wine, sunglasses, and ice cream.

“More important than my legacy as a professional athlete is our family’s desire to truly make a difference in the lives of those in need,” said Nicklaus, a 2015 recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor Congress can bestow on an individual. “I have had the opportunity to meet and work with the leadership at Speedway, and they share in our commitment to help children, with a particular focus on pediatric healthcare. They have a long history with our mutual friends at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and through this partnership we have an opportunity to continue to positively affect the lives of millions of children and their families.”

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that treat more than 10 million kids each year. A donation made at a local Speedway directly supports the member hospital in that community.  Speedway is the largest contributor to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the convenience store industry. Since 1991, Speedway has contributed more than $68 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the generosity of their customers, vendors and employees.

“Speedway is one of the largest corporate sponsors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” shared Speedway President Tony Kenney. “We are honored to partner with the Nicklaus Companies in support of this very worthwhile cause.”

A percentage of every dozen Nicklaus Golf Balls already supports the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation. The balls are engineered to benefit players of all skill levels, with the “Blue” models optimizing feel and distance by combining a high speed gradient core and a low spin mantle. Customers can also purchase “Black” and “White” models online at www.nicklaus.com. Golfers choose a ball according to the color of the tee markers from which they typically play. This color-coding system makes choosing the correct ball easy, benefitting scores and pace of play.
