USGA Names Director of Marketing & Community Relations for 2018 U.S. Senior Open

(Colorado Springs, CO) – The 2018 U.S. Senior Open, conducted by the United States Golf Association and managed by Bruno Event Team, named Justin Belanger Director of Marketing & Community Relations today.

Belanger will be responsible for the creation and execution of the Championship’s marketing plan, media plan and strategic marketing alliances. He will also be responsible for designing and choreographing a complex ticket sales strategy in order to outpace the previous attendance of 129,000 spectators at the 2008 U.S. Senior Open staged at The Broadmoor.

Belanger brings a great deal of experience to the 2018 U.S. Senior Open staff.  Prior to arriving in Colorado Springs, Justin was an integral part of the staff at the 2013 U.S. Senior Open in Omaha, NE, the 2014 U.S. Senior Open in Oklahoma City, OK and the 2015 U.S. Senior Open in Sacramento, CA. Most recently, Justin held the position of Championship Manager for the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open in San Jose, CA.

“Justin’s role is paramount to our success,” said Brianne Wyatt, 2018 U.S. Senior Open Championship Director. “I am confident that he will deliver a cutting edge plan to elevate this monumental event in Colorado to an all new level.”

Justin is originally from Avon, CT.  He attended Centenary University where he played soccer for the Cyclones. Prior to joining Bruno Event Team, Justin worked with the New York Red Bulls Major League Soccer team and the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League.
