Inaugural CasaBlanca II Man Tournament On Par for Successful Weekend in Mesquite

(Mesquite, Nev.) – Beginning today, Mesquite Gaming, owner of CasaBlanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel, hosts its inaugural CasaBlanca II Man golf tournament on three of Mesquite’s most renown golf courses. The event boasts a $5,000 prize purse for the winning team. The event tees off Friday, Nov. 10 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 12 at Palms Golf Club, CasaBlanca Golf Club and Conestoga Golf Club.

“We are wrapping up another successful Nevada Open tournament here at Mesquite Gaming and we’re looking forward to a fun-filled weekend with our inaugural II Man Tournament,” said Christian Adderson, tournament director for Mesquite Gaming. “This time of year in southern Nevada is ideal for golf and the event is going to be a great time for participants and spectators alike.”

The CasaBlanca II Man will showcase a different format each day, allowing both amateur and professional golfers to compete with varying handicap rules. The tournament begins with a welcome reception and pairing party for participants. Day one features the tournament’s namesake, a two-man scramble format at the Palms Golf Club, using 25 percent of the team’s combined handicap. Day two features a best-ball format at Conestoga Golf Club and the full team handicap will be used. The final tournament day is held at Casablanca Golf Club with a modified alternate shot format and uses 25 percent of the combined team handicap.

The scenic and award-winning course lineup for both tournaments includes the CasaBlanca Golf Club, featuring an 18-hole, 7,011-yard championship course, designed by Cal Olson; the Palms Golf Club with scenic elevation changes along the Virgin River wetlands and a special par-five hole with a 114-foot drop to the fairway; and the Gary Panks-designed Conestoga Golf Club, which boasts a combination of canyon holes with gently ascending and descending elevations, rugged rock outcroppings and tranquil water elements, catering to a variety of skill levels.

Entry fees for the tournament are $350 per person or $700 per team of two. CasaBlanca Resort room specials are offered for the tournament weekend at $64 nightly, in addition to hotel tax and a daily resort fee. Book a room online or call 702-345-6789.
